Shanisa Williams joined the Center for Economic Inclusion in 2022 as an executive assistant in the Finance and Operations department. While her work is primarily internally facing, hers is the first face staff and visitors see as they enter the CEI office space. Shanisa prides herself on making everyone who enters feel both acknowledged and welcomed. Shanisa has built her career in a variety of roles and industries, mostly in small companies where she took on myriad responsibilities including administrative support, project management, and marketing support. She said she enjoys the variety and thrives in an environment where no two workdays are the same.
Since joining the Center, Shanisa has supported the efficient, accurate and thorough operations of the Finance and Operations leadership and teams. She cultivates a supportive and highly responsive relationship with the Vice President of Finance & Operations to create a platform for efficient support services, project management, and coordination. In addition to being flexible and responsive, she also leans into her eye for detail which she applies to tasks as visible as preparing the materials for a top-level meeting, and as routine as, making sure the copier never runs out of paper. Shanisa is a proud mom to her son and enjoys baking and writing poetry in her spare time.
