To address the ever-present demand for change, the Center for Economic Inclusion has developed the Racial Equity Dividends Index, a comprehensive tool to help businesses measure their progress towards building racially equitable and inclusive workplaces in and around Kansas City.
The Racial Equity Dividends Index
Thanks to a generous grant from Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, access to the Private Sector Index will be free to the first 20 organizations that register at any level.
Private Sector Index for Kansas City Key Dates:
June 3: 2024 Index survey distributed to participants
July 15: Index survey due
By October 31: Index score reports shared with participants
November (date TBD): Index publication event(s)
What the Racial Equity Indices (Private & Public Sector) Assess
The Racial Equity Dividends Index for the Public and Private Sectors measure policies and practices across multiple categories including leadership, hiring, culture, procurement, philanthropy, public policy, and products. Collectively, these practices represent emerging standards that are necessary to advance racial equity and inclusion in workplaces.
